Important Information:
Continuing Education, Payments, Refunds, and Grievances
Continuing Education:
We are approved to provide continuing education for professionals licensed under the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council and the Texas Education Agency.
The Borderland Rainbow Center under sponsor number 7798 has been approved by the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners to offer continuing education contact hours to social workers.
Borderland Rainbow Center, Education Training Program Diversity and Resiliency Institute of El Paso is a pre- approved continuing professional education (CPE) provider for the State of Texas.
If you hold a license in another State or discipline, it is not guaranteed that our content will meet your requirements. We recommend that you check with your licensing body for any requirements and allowances.
Payment and Refunds:
All online payments are processed securely with your choice of Square or PayPal. If you encounter any issues with payment, or are unable to access content or services that you have paid for, please contact us.
If you need to request a refund for any reason, please contact driep.help@borderlandrainbow.org Subject: Refund. Please indicate in the email why you are requesting the refund. Refund requests must be sent within 72 hours of purchase. Any refund approved will be initiated within 48 hours of acknowledgement of your request. If you have already started or completed a training and request a refund, or if you request a refund after 72 hours from you purchase, we are not obligated to fulfill that request.
Accommodations:
All of our online asynchronous trainings and courses can have open captioning available. For additional accommodations, please contact driep.help@borderlandrainbow.org Subject: Accommodations.
Grievances:
The Borderland Rainbow Center and its education program the Diversity and Resiliency Institute of El Paso will comply with all legal and ethical responsibilities to be non-discriminatory in promotional activities, program content and in the treatment of program participants. The monitoring and assessment of compliance with these standards will be the responsibility of the Director of Continuing Education and the Social Work Consultant. When a grievance arises pertaining to continuing education programs or processes, the complainant is expected to notify the Director of Continuing Education by e-mail as soon as possible, Subject: Grievance, so that the nature of the concern may be addressed in a timely fashion. The Director of Continuing Education for the Diversity and Resiliency Institute of El Paso is Ashley Heidebrecht, LMSW and can be emailed at driep.director@borderlandrainbow.org.
If the Director of Continuing Education cannot immediately resolve the issue, the Director will bring the complaint to the Social Work Consultant or appropriate Advisory Group member within 1 week. All possible care will be taken to uphold the confidentiality of the complainant. The consultant will formulate a response to the complaint and recommend action if necessary, which will be conveyed directly to the complainant. A grievance concerning a specific course offering, content, or costs may be resolved by modifications to future offerings, and/or by providing a partial or full refund to the complainant, or an alternative opportunity. The participant who initiated the grievance is informed of the status of the complaint at all levels.
