1 Continuing Education hour Facilitated by: Ashley Heidebrecht, LMSW Poverty is an incredibly complex issue that is often talked about in terms of willpower vs. laziness and deserving vs. undeserving. This training will address the complexities of poverty and seek to change the way we talk about poverty and work with those who are experiencing it. ​Attendees will be able to: · Identify and articulate key factors within the various levels/types of poverty · Examine stereotypes and social constructs surrounding poverty · Identify barriers to resources and services · Develop skills and access tools to more effectively engage with people experiencing poverty
