This 6-unit course is appropriate for individuals who want to take a deep dive into Black history and Black excellence. This course will challenge you to break the cycle of isolating Black excellence and history into a month’s worth of time, once a year. Black history is more. We challenge you to break the cycle of white America’s continuous attempts to make up for centuries of Black oppression cosigned with heinous behaviors like racism and discrimination. You can also look forward to meaningful engagement and difficult moments of reflection that will contribute to an abundance of growth in both your personal and professional life. ​

This 3-hour Live Webinar will address the gaps in training and knowledge regarding the Deaf population for mental health professionals by giving them access to appropriate tools and resources to serve this population. When mental health providers and their staff feel competent to handle the specific needs of any client who walks through their doors, they will provide better service to those individuals. This training will reduce potential bias against Deaf clients and reducing that stigma will make it easier for Deaf clients to access the services that they need. Deaf clients will be reassured to see certificates of training completion, which will demonstrate the provider’s commitment to universal access.
