2 Continuing Education hours available. What is environmental racism? What is climate inequity? We as a society are becoming more aware of the complexities of racism, while at the same time grappling with understanding and responding to climate change. This training seeks to help us examine environmental racism and climate change, how these challenges intersect, and what we can do about them . This training is appropriate for anyone who wants to develop a better understanding of this complex facet of racism and classism, and begin to take steps in advocacy. ​Attendees will be able to: · Define and articulate the concepts of environmental racism and environmental justice · Examine how climate inequality impacts individuals in the U.S. · Develop knowledge to engage in environmental activism more effectively

The Borderland Rainbow Center under sponsor number 7798 has been approved by the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners to offer continuing education contact hours to social workers.
