Since Module 1, this term has jumped out at me so differently. My entire life it has presented in my mind a picture of a tired old fence being covered in new, albeit thin, white paint to freshen it up, pretty it up a little. Now....it presents as history rewritten to fit the picture of white wholesome, holy, and right. Don't think I will be able to use that term anymore.
I particularly appreciated Jay Smooth and his dental hygiene construct of anti-racism. Every day, every way, and oh BTW you have a green bit of racial bias snagged on your incisor. Humor has often made the unspeakable speakable. Works here, too. I am going to continue to floss. My antiracist health should improve.
And oh yes, indeed, I need my shoes. Common ground. Still looking for it whenever and wherever. Humor. Can't be without it. Truth to power. Yes.
