I have experienced toxic shame and guilt frequently in my life and have done years of personal work untangling it and re-orienting myself towards affirmation and healthier choices. I am only now realizing in Module 3 that doing that work as it related to my own life is benefitting me in my own processing of white guilt and shame, in that I used to experience it a lot and tried to avoid it but I don't avoid those feelings anymore- I let them move through me. It's empowering to know that I can do this work in this context because I've already done it in another context.
