I feel like I can do story sharing and try to connect with people and hear their stories. I'm excited. It reminds me of canvassing. I was a really good canvasser. Story sharing can be modified for the person who is speaking to without being false. There are many aspects to our stories, and we can feel our way through to share what aspects seem most intuitively appropriate in a given situation. I have been thinking about ways I can share aspects of my story. I am highly influenced by research and evidence in my thinking, so sometimes it is hard for me to explain to people a 'story.' Very often I am changing my ideas based on new research. I hope that I have enough knowledge to make sense of putting stories together.
@Cory Trusty Stories are powerful, I will advice you to write them down and have them handy when you talk to different audiences. I also enjoyed sharing my story and listening other people stories. Through this process I have been vulnerable, but yet being a role model to others that can identify with my experiences. When I hear others stories, this process allowed me to have empathy for others and I have gain a better understanding of the person. Another advice, is to convert your stories in case studies, that way you can have a rich discussion about the topics presented in the story.
