I'm very bothered by the moderator's statement, "here's the deal white people, we have not lived racism". I feel like she's validating my attackers and the fact that I didn't lose my sight is amazing after I was beaten and left for dead on a playground as a 5 year old by 2 older black boys publicly announced that they sought me out because I was "the little white girl". The moderator totally steam rolled my experience and my suffering. As the lightest person in a multiracial household, I am considered white and get targeted by multiple minorities. I've been denied access into Asian Meetups because I'm not Asian enough but can't find my skin color in the store because I'm too yellow. Living in a communist country, my boyfriend and I experienced racism every day, but he did so more for being unable to blend into the crowd because he is white European. I think this module was designed for white, non-Jewish Americans who have never left the country and only have living relatives who were born in this country. This module is very bias and I think there should be a disclaimer at the intro to module 3.
