This section of the module combined with the handouts is very helpful to start feeling comfortable in engaging with the uncomfortable conversations surrounding race. The videos had some great points and something that stood out to me was the term color blind and color muteness. I think this is very important. You see the world in color and black and white, pretending you don't see it can be just as hurtful if not the same. Another term I found intriguing and put a lot into perspective for me was emotional labor, holding back your true feelings so that you do not cause discomfort to another person. White people have not lived racism, we need to stand in solidarity with all races and let their voices be heard. Something I always say, is no one has the right to you that they did not hurt you or upset you. those are you feelings and no one needs to validate them.
