That really hit hard. I have been presenting studies and statistics to people who shoot flaming arrows at me of "victim" and "libtard" - a particularly hideous term - hoping to reach them. I'm afraid of alienating them with what they think are opinions when they are just my story. What i got from this is that many people are open if i give them a reason to be so with me, and story is the way to connect. It always is. Story and/or music... Also, if people continue to resist even neutral studies or the statistics, they might not be ready and I don't have to wait though the abusive language, but f stay open and respectful, they might come back with questions.
