In reflection on the section on Identity, Entitlement, and Privilege it becomes painfully clear that white people must start to own our racial identity and be able to talk about it. White people, in order to be true participants in human interactions need to reflect and recognize that whiteness can and must be uncentered as the norm/standard. When we do so, we should not lose our sense of self or immediately perceive that decentering as threatening to our existence, but recognize it as a necessary fix toward breaking down the white supremic system that we've been complacent to and complicit in since the beginnings of the US.
