I'm just beginning the process of unveiling the hidden white privilege I carry. I related to almost everyone of Peggy McIntosh's "Daily Effects of White Privilege." I came up with one of my own, and suspect it will grow longer as I read, engage, think and pray.
I also wrote two other lists: One for how I've harmed others with my privilege, and one for ways I can use that privilege for good. Both lists were short. The harm I've done is buried deeper (shame?). I don't fully understand how to use my privilege for good yet. I know to work hard to listen, to be a white ally, to support anti-racism any way I can.
