In taking the tests, I was nervous that even after a few implicit bias trainings I have had at work before specifically about these same topics [and also including gender bias] that I would skew towards harmful biases. It made me feel... relieved[?] that as I have been learning about specific biases, I have been able to internalize those lessons to *not* skew towards what should be my implicit biases as a white American of European descent. However, the one that surprised me was the general skin tone test, which did not have a specific group label that I have gone to trainings/ workshops for. In that category, I still had a slight bias towards my own skin tone. To be fair, I'm sure there are many people out there with a bias towards their own skin tone, but amidst the other 3 results... it felt a little surprising and bizarre.
