Being white, I understand the racial benefits and also the lack of culture tied to the white race. My parents however still maintain many traditions of Ireland and Denmark, even to the extent of speaking Irish Gaelic. On one hand I'm thankful for that aspect of culture but I feel like it's tertiary every time I complete a form and have to check "white".
The other videos on racial identity were eye opening. I was not aware of the Native American struggle with quotas. The explanations of why the government tracks blood lines and purity were horrible to hear. I wonder what needs to be done to remove such laws.
