The video interviews were eye opening. It puts into perspective white privilege and how hard people of color have to work to have a "normal" life. The challenges that they face on a daily basis are uncalled for. The video of the young, black boys was heart wrenching. Boys who are just doing their best, doing what is right, trying to get an education, and they are automatically labeled as trouble makers or criminals. Its sad, it needs to change.
I can see my friends from school in all the groups. I graduated HS in 1980 in CA and went through school "desegregation" busing. I was the one bused to the other end of town. It is where school was, no issues. My brother on the other hand, had a very different experience-reaction. I am the definition of "white privilege" and am speaking up!
