I have taken several of the implicit bias tests before, but had never done the skin-tone, Asian, or Native tests. I was very surprised to have results of slight auto preference for light-skinned, moderate auto preference for black people, strong auto association of American with Native Americans, and moderate auto association of American with Asian Americans. I do not have much interaction with individuals who are Native Americans nor with individuals who are Asian Americans so I was surprised by my automatic associations. I wouldn't say that I felt stressed, maybe tense - afraid of making a mistake.
I agree, I wasn't actually worried or stressed about the content/questions but I was more nervous about making a mistake or going too slow with my responses. I ended up doing some of the other tests besides the 4 we had to do just because I was curious. I was not surprised by my results on some of the other tests I took as I predicted it would result that way. As for the 4 sub-tests we were asked to take, I was slightly surprised at how some of my results were strongly auto-preference and others were slight auto preference or association. I guess that has to do with the speed in which I was hitting the buttons. It was definitely an interesting experience.
