I really thought I'd do better. But I'm one biased white lady. I'm not ready to crown myself "Ms. White Exceptionalism 2020," but I did think I wasn't a bad person. Like so many of us, I believed that good people weren't racist. Even though my mom was scared of black people. And my father would tell racist jokes, and put on a stereotyped black dialect. I thought I somehow skipped out on that by being colorblind. I have a lot of hard work ahead of me.
