Something that I found interesting that I identify with was several of the white people were stating that they didn't want to think about themselves as racist and that it was difficult to challenge this and really acknowledge their own implicit biases. This was admittedly difficult for me, as well- but I think an important factor to becoming anti-racist is being able to acknowledge these biases and attempt to unlearn and re-educate on a continual basis. As a white person, denying that I have any biases or that I have engaged in racist behavior in the past, is false and will not help me to move forward and truly be an anti-racist ally.
