Wow! First, I am looking forward to watching the full documentary to learn more about this class experiment and hear from the students who were in the class, as well as the teacher, their current reflections about that experience. Second, the class is completely comprised of white students and a white female teacher. I wonder what the statistics are on our schools today and how much progress has really been made in having more diversity in our schools. And, third, these students fell right in line with a typical white supremacist system to follow the power of the teacher. There is no co-constructing in this classroom, thus the students immediately look to and follow their teacher's directives. I wonder if this lack of power sharing within the school system and the school community within the local community has changed much since this video? This has given me a lot to research and learn more about!
