I completely understand the concept of the lesson and I have no doubt that it was a great example to those children. The teacher did a good job facilitating it and did a good job talking through it with the children. However, so much emotional health is cultivated at this age and it seemed like this "experiment" had the potential to emotionally harm those children. I was a very shy child but also had a very strong sense of right/wrong (not saying I don't have any implicit bias, obviously) and this experiment would have really negatively impacted me and it would have had nothing to do with the lesson of discrimination. It reminded me of the Stanford Prison Experiment just with children. Yes, everyone learned a lot but it seemed to come at a cost.
