Once again, it's so frustrating to watch the blue-eye-brown-eye experiment after FIFTY YEARS! And we haven't even begun to heal. I cannot believe how quickly these kids bought into it and turned on each other.
BUT then I caught myself thinking how absurd it was to think that eye color could be a discriminating factor... which implies that it's not absurd that skin color could be something the would make people discriminate. So I'm beginning to recognize my own bias.
It makes me angry that there are people who won't even begin to discover this in themselves. How can we heal as a culture if individuals won't even try.
It was heartening to see the kids come back together.
