As a white person I have never experience racism, but I see it in our society quite often. White privilege is real, but many don't recognize it or use it to stand up to racism. With the current experiences of George Flyod I have seen many people dismiss the suffering that the black community has endured. I have attended some of the protests in my town, to stand up against police brutality. Here the black community is accepting and encourages white people to help fight against racism. I can not say that for white people. More than not I see racism and hate coming from my race. It is truly sad, but I know that I can use my white privilege to help bring equality for those who have been persecuted for their race.
