Of course. it's everywhere. as I learn more and more about the history and in the middle of the current events, I guess I'm wondering how much of a historian I need to be to be an effective anti-racist. I know I will always have more to learn, but I also want to act. I guess it will always be some back and forth.
reflection 2 - I'm starting to struggle with my place. Why am I leading a school? Does this school need a leader of color? Or can I do this effectively as a white leader? I know I can, but it's going to be tough.
Reflection 3 - history informs everything about racism today. I hadn't seen and was not aware of the extent to which Obama was portrayed with racial stereotypes. That was stunning. But not surprising.
I know I'm left with a feeling that I'm not doing my part to stop this insanity. We all must do better!
