What struck me the most was how much I didn't know about the history of racism in the country. I knew about areas that were primarily Asian, Indian reservations, or African American, but didn't know how many were driven to these areas. I was stunned to find out about the boarding school in Carlisle. I'm from PA and had no knowledge of this. I do agree there is still a ton of racism still rampant today in various forms. The example of Flint brought the environmental racism to my attention. I didn't even realize that was a thing, but makes lots of sense to me now. The videos really put together a large picture of the history and current racism still plaguing our country. I'm curious to learn more about what we can do to change this.
