Yes. Absolutely. The pain, oppression, and turmoil has come to surface many times throughout history. It's only now that we are trapped inside with less day to day distractions that we are fixated on finding a solution. I love being a part of a generation so vocal. I love learning about our roots and obstacles that we have overcome as a human race. We still have a long way to go but by focusing on fixing legislation, educating ourselves, voting for the change we wish to see can really go a long way. Yes, I can see and feel all the connections of the many ways White Supremacy and the system it has created suppresses and oppresses people. As I learn, I want to help my fellow peers, community members, and family learn too. It wasn't until I took a few anthropology courses my senior year of bachelor's degree that I learned true History. I believe history as we choose to learn and dig into can definitely control the changes we make that can affect our future.
