The videos have definitely opened my eyes on the different aspects of racism that exist in America. One that was new and did not anticipate was environmental racism. Even water is not sparred from racism. Water, a commodity that is a basic need for survival according Bloom's taxonomy. According to the video, water environmental racism is about policies and practices that discriminate against communities of color by making them live near landfills sewage plants and other polluting facilities. Poverty is a leading environmental justice issue around the country. Detroit has the highest number of children's asthma cases in the state, Louisiana's cancer alley a high rate of cancer mainly among black residents and many more incidents around the country. So I have this question " Can there be protection from environmental racism?"
