I had listened a lot of podcasts talking about other countries' Native People's experiences with removal from their family homes (Canada, Australia). I knew there were deep implications in the United States, and assumed there were similar practices. I'm saddened to know that assumption was correct, and that in many ways it is still ongoing today.
This section also helped me to think of the many diverse ways we are still conducting racism. Instead of the overt behaviors within our history, there are many more covert examples that to the untrained eye can appear as a non-issue.
