It makes me sad to think how much of the US history is so white-washed. I truly did not know about many of these topics, especially the Native American schools and the "adoptions". I am a social worker and to hear that social workers were involved in such a heinous act breaks my heart. I also wonder if this is partly to blame for social workers often being boxed into the idea that their job is to take kids away from their families. The history of policing was also very interesting. I guess I assumed it has always been around. The presenter's analogy of the house and foundation also made a lot of sense and I wish more people could hear it. I think it makes it very clear. I am glad that we started with this foundation.
