I am grateful for this training. While I was already aware of some of the injustices discussed, much of it I was not. My history courses in school missed a lot of material. So many of these injustices still resonate in today's populations. An apology issued from the President (former or present) is not enough to undo the progression of racism these actions have created. We have so so much work to do as a society to question government, policies, and our own prejudices and biases.
I highly agree that there needs to be a commitment of all, but particularly whites to acknowledge their prejudices and biases and then engage in the ongoing work of racial healing and justice.
