One thing that really stuck out to me with the last video was that there is a market for "fake" racist antiques. I've seen the concept before, but it just boggles my mind that people would pay for something racist and display it in their house as a piece of history... and for it to actually be brand new?! That there are manufacturers and craftspeople that are actually making these things in 2020? I remember years ago seeing a comedic YouTube video called "Racist Yard Sale" where they disparaged some of the obliquely racist things that people will buy. It is awful to me that we as white people try to excuse this by saying it's part of our history! Just because it's "history" doesn't mean we should put it on a pedestal and celebrate it. By glorifying and promoting black stereotypes, we continue to cement racism in every aspect of life.
