It seems to me that America's history directly informs people's beliefs and behavior today. When codes, and traditions, and ways of defining the world around us are all written into the very fabric of our society, there is little doubt that we are all impacted. Our biases, both conscious and unconscious, are rooted in a system that created our current situations.
One thing that deeply impacted me was the racist imagery at the Jim Crow Museum. To think that this kind of indoctrination and imagery was sanctioned and shared only one generation ago moves me and deeply disturbs me.
