It is clear that the effects of racism are cyclical and compounding. If a father is in jail, his child is more likely to have trouble in school - a child who has trouble in school is more likely to go to jail - and the cycle continues. Yet, I feel with early intervention and prioritizing therapy/ rehabilitation over incarceration, we could dramatically reduce this cycle. That will take systematic change and humility from the top for that to happy - way easier said than done.
