I definitely agree that our institutions, laws, and very foundation were created with racist ideology. It is evident that people still hold those ideologies and deny it's existence. There were a few points I found myself thinking more critically on. This is such a deep issue, and everyone needs to take a look inside themselves and think about the biases and stereotypes that they hold for other races. Once we're able to identify and overcome them, we can take action to change the systems in place. I think people forget that these systems and institutions are able to be changed, they are not fixed. But humans are defaulted to be wary and afraid of change. I hope we are able to overcome these issues.
First we need to efucate ourselves about the history of racist acts in the U.S. We need to educate ourselves about how white privilege contributed to these racist actd. Then we can formulate plans to eradicate racism.
