All of these videos were extremely informative and helped give so much more historical content than what we learn in our high school and even college education. Some of the material I was familiar with but the depth gave me so much more insight on how history really challenged all minorities unless if fit in a neat int a little box . The Carlisle Experiment and adoption of Native American children really made me sad as a mother. I also had no idea about Dr. Sims and his experiments on African American women that were enslaved. Listening and watching this video made my body cringe. Hopefully in the future as doctors or teachers are preparing for their career they are more formally educated in how to be anti racist to make sure that all their patients are treated the same and taken seriously. It might also take some time though for the patients to trust the medical and health care systems after all the years of neglect.
I have studied this information on several different platforms. Each time I listen to it brings disgust, hopelessness, and outrage. I worry that the people that should listen and learn, will not. These subjects are ones that I have heard about my entire life. Always hoping that if people know, things will change. As a Black person, I feel like if the right people hear it, things will change. The right people are all people.
