The videos were informative or unfortunately reminded me of harsh truths I already knew. The open method of racism and discrimination still exist today in subtle forms. There is no such thing as a Post-Racial society. While there may seem to be more opportunities present for those (and their ancestors) who have been marginalized for decades/centuries, many of these issues still negatively affect those in these groups on a larger scale. Also, I find discomfort in saying this but assessing current issues in U.S., it seems like I'm in a time warp. A lot of "progress" has been retracted. Things that were "overcome," still happen today.
Even though i am not an African America, these videos are full of things that make me feel sad and wonder why people who are suppose to care for each other to make a meaning out of their lives, will tend to exploit the desire to live and serve other humans so negatively. What even strike me as so odd is that it looks like its not a mistake or a way to look for best practice through trials and error. It is a deliberate performance to generate a specific outcome. That is why when people protest against some governmental action, instead of abandoning the act entirely and seeking for more humane way to solve the problem if at all there was a problem, they simply change method but still peruse same objective of humiliating and subjugating others. This is sad and sickly.
I feel like to vomit.
These videos were a great eye opener to those that live in an area that is small with not much diversity.
