I thought the first couple of videos were very insightful. I know during recent events have been focused on the black life’s movement, and police brutality. These videos have given me more insight in how we got here. Also, with history of what Hispanics, Asians, and native Americans have had to go through due to the continued oppression. There has been so much change, and advocacy happen in past years, it's hard to think that we are still living with such racism and prejudice in modern times. In a lot of respects; systems, and policies haven't changed to provide the greater good and opportunity for all. There is so much more to be done. I am a white female, so I don't understand in a lot of respects what different ethnicities go through daily. I hope through my education on systematic racism that I can grow to be an ally. Through my time as a social worker it has been such a barrier, and frustration to not be able to provide enough adequate resources and help my clients with their basic needs due to so many macro systems being so limited. Hopefully with these positive movements we can finally see some positive changes in systematic racism
