Learning about how racism has developed over the years was eye opening to me. One thing that really stuck out to me was when talking about corruption in the medical field, the 2016 study that informed me that a quarter of residents thought that African Americans had "thicker skin". This is just a way of hiding the fact that they think they are not as important and do not deserve the same medical care as a white person. Overall, module 1 really changed my views on a lot of things.
