While listening to many of these videos I was reminded of my privilege (including professionally). While I feel I have become more knowledgeable and competent regarding systemic racism through personally deciding to "do the work" over the last few years, there were several things in these videos that still stun me/I was not aware of (particular regarding indigenous/native people and Asian Americans). I think back to what I was taught in public school and how it was far from the truth... I think about we have to make these types of resources available to more people in all spaces (blue collar, white collar, public and private education). If those of us who are doing the work have to sometimes dig to find this information how much more so do we need to engage in tough conversations, challenging ourselves not only to educate ourselves but those around us as well?
