I appreciate the opportunity to expand my own learning about systemic racism and be part of the solution. This historical information demonstrates incredible injustice to persons of color and members of multiple racial groups at the hand of white people. The gut punch for me is how human beings could dehumanize another life to be able to act in such horrific ways. It is hard for me to speak to how these policies and practices may impact modern day racism as I am still learning. I look forward to learning more as we continue to dive into this important topic.
