What is terrible about incarceration among minority is that their social environment they live in tends to not be as supportive. Although there are those miracles who surpass that and excel to much bigger and better things, many of those who's family have generational violence find themselves walking within those same footsteps. I'm glad that my family, which are Puerto Rican and minority, kept me from being raised in the Bronx and headed me southwest. I don't know what kind of person I might have been had a stayed, but I was fortunate. Unfortunately, some will not ever leave town and are at-risk for being involved in troublesome altercations. Additionally, there are also those who are innocent and get incarcerated. Hence, what is the point of incarceration if we cannot attempt to rehabilitate them to working class (like some countries do)? Ever since privatized prisons become a money making business and the lack of injustice, our prison system is a failure and needs reform.
