I just started going back to college pursuing my Bachelor's Degree for Human Resources. One of the first classes I took was History 100, and my final project was on The South African Apartheid and history repeating itself. Reflecting on everything I have learned during the first module and drawing from my research I would say history does inform people's beliefs and behaviors today. Something that really stood out to me was learning about generational trauma. Overall module one was very eye opening when you see statistics and information about our history and see how little the world has really changed. We have the power to learn from our past and make changes but we choose not to. It really is terrible that we feel like we have changed for the better, I feel like the world has not changed enough to be equal and there are so many things in the world that are that way because of history and bias.
