I started this program late in its availability, so I'm going to err on the side of brevity in order to complete all three modules before access expires.
Taking into account this information, some of which I have heard of prior to starting this program, I believe that all these forms of discrimination still linger to some degree today, even when officially repealed. Gaining knowledge of these measures, these practices, has only continued to erode my trust in a government that by means of immigration control and the fees associated with it, has seen fit to make me pay large sums of money to be gainfully employed (and thus, taxed, which in some capacity I fear will contribute to the continuation of institutional racism).
All of this makes me frustrated, because as a DACA recipient, I feel I have no recourse but to keep my head down and pay the fees I'm told to pay and be grateful to have a job while still not actually having a voice politically.
