It's not surprising to me t see how deeply rooted the racism is in this country. There has been tireless effort put in place, to ensure that racism exists. watching the Jim Crow video was very disturbing to watch. As a Latina, I have seen and witnessed the degrading and belittling comments, etc. so to watch this video and the ways many people would just laugh at this poor depiction of a black person, was very disturbing. In many ways, this is how jokes are perpetuated- people just think it's funny and it's okay. it's definitely not.
