Your question is what was the most enlightening, memorable, disturbing..... I cannot believe that at 48, I have never heard about this. I am in disbelief that this happened. I am proud that there were protesters and those that fought against this, but they should not have had to. This is clear oppression of those of Mexican decent. Worse yet, it is humiliation, discrimination, racism. As an Arizonan resident, this takes me back to our horrible law that our racist congress past because of the super majority there is in this state. It is deplorable. I am finding myself lost for words to say that are coherent enough to express my disgust. All of the videos in this unit, illustrate the horrific oppression that those in power (historically white males) imposed on other races because they wanted to hold on to power forever. I am honored to stand with those in the fight for racial justice, equity and equality in our nation. We so desparately need change.
