Every system has been used to keep people of color down in our history. This module has been a sad, gross version of connecting-the-dots. White individuals like to spout off about "why am I paying for something that my ancestors did or did not do 200+ years ago" and these videos create the case that really - sadly - nothing has changed. That the dots starting from the 17/18th century - connect to red lining - to incarnation rates - to cancer rates rising and more death among people of color. It continues to also show how much our history has been "white-washed" and we have not been told anywhere near the truth about how the systems of oppression have been created and continue to play out today.
