Our history makes me angry. It makes me angry that we created the construct of race to create a power paradigm. It makes me angry that from the time we are born in this Country we are institutionalized in this paradigm of race, whether it is the "superiority" of whiteness of the consistant struggle to just get what is deserved of the black and brown. It angers me that white people still feel threatened by equalizing race and offering equality to all that they turn to violence, discrimination, microagressions, etc. to always maintain their level of power over, and "remind" the black and brown people who is in charge. I had never heard of the gas baths and it makes me angry that so much of our history, our gross history, has been whitewashed and erased because we understand the horror of it but not enough to teach it, learn from it, and never repeat it. I truly am sorry to all BIPOC for all the horrors, blatant and otherwise, that have been perpetrated on you and I will do all that I can to call those out and be antiracist.
