What stood out to me the most was how much of this information is not taught truthfully in school, or taught at all in certain levels of education. I have learned some of these historic tragedies at the college level. We need education reform. The stories that have shaped our history need to be told truthfully, so we can cease to repeat the destruction of those who are othered.
Same here. So much from these videos were not taught to me in high school or in my college US history classes. I had never heard of environmental racism until today. Today is Juneteenth and I had only just learned about that day two years ago. It's definitely sad and makes me angry that our education has been so whitewashed.
